Questions about GymBuddys

Straight answers about what the product does, which platforms it runs on, and what it refuses to be. The same answers are marked up as an FAQ for search tools.

What is GymBuddys?

GymBuddys is a social fitness app for people who train together. You share whether you are coming to the gym, coordinate workouts in a group, chat, and keep your own progress. It is not software for gym owners to manage memberships, invoices, or front-desk billing.

Why not just use a chat app?

Chat threads bury the plan. A message that you are coming scrolls away, and nobody has one view of today. GymBuddys keeps a shared status board for the crew — Coming, Coming But Late, Not Sure, Absent, or Arrived — next to the group chat, instead of replacing the conversation with another scattered thread.

How do friends coordinate a gym session?

Create or join a group, then set today's status. Everyone in that group sees the same board, so you do not have to ask separately who is showing up. You can also share workouts, notes, rest days, and messages in the group.

What do the status options mean?

Coming means you plan to be there. Coming But Late means you are still coming, later than planned. Not Sure means you have not decided. Absent means you are not going. Arrived means you are at the gym. A moderator can pin the gym on the map, and you can mark Arrived when you get there.

Is there an Android app?

Yes. The native Android app is listed on Google Play as Gym Buddy, package com.navexra.gymbuddy, from Navexra. Install it at https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.navexra.gymbuddy&hl=en_IN. The same product is on the web at https://gymbuddys.in/.

Can I use GymBuddys on an iPhone?

You can use the website at https://gymbuddys.in/ on an iPhone or iPad, including adding it to your home screen as a web app. A native iOS app is not available.

How do I sign in?

GymBuddys uses Google sign-in. There is no separate email-and-password account for this product. Each person in a crew signs in with their own Google account.

Does GymBuddys charge me inside the app?

The product has no checkout, subscription, or in-app purchase flow. This site does not list a price because the app does not sell a plan.

Is the AI Coach medical advice?

No. Coach sends the text or meal photos you submit to Google Gemini and shows a suggestion for workouts, form, or nutrition. Replies can be wrong. They are not medical, dietary, or professional coaching advice. Train and eat using your own judgment.

Who can see my gym status?

People in the groups you join can see the status, workouts, notes, and messages you share in that group. GymBuddys does not publish your status to the open internet. Location is optional, used only while the app is open if you allow it, and is not collected in the background.

How is this different from a workout tracker?

GymBuddys can log exercises, personal records, measurements, habits, and streaks. A traditional tracker stops there. GymBuddys also coordinates attendance with other people: who is coming, who is late, who has arrived, and what the crew is doing today.

Can a gym owner use this to bill members?

No. GymBuddys does not create membership plans, invoices, or payment records. It is for training partners who want to show up together.

How do I delete my account or get help?

Signed-in people can delete an account from Profile or Settings. For help, email contact@gymbuddys.in or use https://gymbuddys.in/legal/support. The privacy policy is at https://gymbuddys.in/legal/privacy and the terms are at https://gymbuddys.in/legal/terms.
